CONSTRUCTION OF ROOMS FOR OLD AGE CARE CENTER

The forgotten ones: the misery for millions growing old!! In today’s time our society is struggling to cope with the challenges that an ageing person has to face. Growing old is such an inevitable part of life. Quite understandably, few look forward to the twilight of their life
and all that it brings in its wake — deteriorating health, loss of vigor, restricted mobility, increasing dependence on others, not to mention a sense of foreboding and anxiety. Yet, ageing is an inevitable part of life that one has to learn to cope with willy-nilly
For the elderly ones it is important to adopt a positive attitude towards life. Companionship, of course, is also vital for the elderly. No human being is an island. Above all, peace of mind, which everyone seeks but few are fortunate to find, is absolutely necessary.

Our organization works for ‘the cause and care of disadvantaged older persons to improve their quality of life’. We envision a society where elderly have the right to an active, healthy and dignified life. Currently under our “OLD AGE CARE ADOPTION” campaign we are maintaining five deprived aged persons. Among them some are handicapped and others are homeless with no aid from their near and dear ones. We provide for their monthly grocery, medicines, medical treatments and other basic and emergency requirements.

Presently due to paucity of funds we are unable to arrange for their rehabilitation and provide them shelter. We aim to build an OLD AGE CARE CENTRE which shall provide the roof to many destitute, deprived aged souls who needs proper care, love and aid in their last days. The proposed location of the Old Age Care Centre shall be at Champahati, South 24 Parganas, West Bengal and its proposed name is “ANANDA MELA “ . Let’s try to make their life as fulfilling
and meaningful as possible.
