Shree RadheyShyam Gaushala

“namo brahmanya devaya go-brahmanahitaya cha”

Lorsd Krishna is described as the well-wisher of cows. This was well-reflected in His care for cows as a cowherd boy in Vrindavana. In fact, Lord Krishna’s other names, Govinda and Gopala mean, “friend and protector of cows”. The special status of cows and the benefits of caring for them are found throughout the scriptures. Cows are very dear to Lord Krishna. He says, “I can be worshipped within the Cows by offerings of grass and other suitable grains and paraphernalia for
the pleasure & health of the Cows”– Srimad Bhagavatam.

Why Offer Gau-Seva?

Gau-Seva is considered as one of the most revered services. Join us in our service for this humble being. Offer seva towards feeding the sacred cows and receive eternal blessings from Lord Krishna. We provide them fresh grass, fodder, water, shelter, and care for them like our mothers.

Why Protect the Cows?

When the bull and cow are in a joyous mood, it can be construed that the people of the world are also in joyful mood. Human society must, therefore, protect these two precious animals so they can wander about with no worries and with all cheer.

Once a cow grows old and stop giving milk, their owner disowns them because they are of no use to them. Thousands of such innocent cows are left on the street without a home. Many of these are just aged, injured, or abandoned. Some of these cows fall prey in the hands of butchers. Others are deeply starved and move from one place to another in search of food bearing the brunt of weather. These cows are insulted, canned and even pelted with stones. Some of these even meet with fatal accidents, others groan in pain due to severe injuries waiting for medical attention. The life of these cows become miserable.

Should Such Be The End Of Cows Which Have Fed Us Milk All Throughout Their Life And Is Called As ‘Mother’?
These cows are docile who do not harm anyone at all. So, we cannot leave these cows to meet a fatal end. Such cows are rescued and brought to our Gaushala from horrible time in which some are disabled or deeply injured even fighting for their life. All these cows are fed, sheltered, and looked after. These rescued Cows are fed with a mixture of fodder that includes wheat, green grass, bhusa (husk) and jaggery. They are given plenty of water. We even appoint expert doctors who look after these cows and administer them quality medicines.
