Disaster Relief
Having faced several major cyclones in the Sundarban areas and the aftermath of river floodings and saline water affecting agriculture and livelihoods of several families, we know that immediate response is crucial for saving lives and livelihoods and helping the most vulnearable survivors. In the face of a cricis often the difference between life and death is immediate access to RELIEF ITEMS.We help people to survive and rebuild their lives through food, ration, medical, shelter and livelihood programes.
During the calamities of Amphan, Yaas cyclones, and the Covid crisis we have supported many affected families by providing them dry food & ration items, medicines, etc. We have also organised our Community Kitchen camps at various places of the Sundarbans in the year 2021 post Yass Cyclones. In these community kitchens everyday we have served two times daily meals to almost 1600 persons each day. We have distributed Saree and Clothes. We also raised funds to help repaire the boats of the local fishermen community and rebuilt
few houses of the local dwellers who lost their shelter&roofs in the cyclone. We took the initiatives for bleaching and cleaning the saline water affected local ponds and fisheries, paddy fields, etc.
In the aftermath of disaster, it’s a race against time and we have no time to raise funds and then respond. Therefore, we appeal to you, please give today to our Disaster Rwelief Fund. Knowing The World’s Largest Mangrove Forest (Sundarban) Tourism
Sundarban Tourism is organized by the society from which the percentage of the profit will be transferred towards our society’s fund. We will work on various social welfare projects by using this fund and at the same time help the adventure-seeking tourists to explore and know the world’s largest mangrove delta. In this Nature tour, we help others know the Sundarban’s history and share in-detailed information. We introduce them to the various mangrove species of the Sundarbans and talk about the flora and fauna of this forest. Any group of individuals, families, students, schools, official institutions, and others are welcomed.
Monthly Medical Camp
We belive that Healthcare should be the Basic Right of everyone. So with the vision of “ HEALTH FOR ALL “ we began to organise Monthly Medical camps for the rural and underprivilaged persons living in the nearby localities since the 14th of February, 2022.
Our Society recognizes the challenges of the underprivilaged to access the primary healthcare. We therefore organize Monthly Medical Camps at our centre at Shitalia , Sandeshkhali Block – II which includes a thorough check up by our Doctor, Distribution of free medicines along with basic tests, etc. in return of waste plastics collected from the patients. These timely interventions provide early diagnosis and treatment reducing the risk factors. These Monthly Medical & Health check up camps address the immediate health care needs of the marginalized communities.
Any interested organizations or volunteers or NGO’s and individuals may come forward to lend their helping hands to aid this Noble cause either by sharing love and support by Donating us or by organizing Eye Check up Camps, Monthly Medical Check up Camps, etc in association with our Society.

Old age care
The forgotten ones: the misery for millions growing old!! In today’s time our society is struggling to cope with the challenges that an ageing person has to face. Growing old is such an inevitable part of life. Quite understandably, few look forward to the twilight of their life and all that it brings in its wake deteriorating health, loss of vigor, restricted mobility, and increasing dependence on others, not to mention a sense of foreboding and anxiety. Yet, ageing is an inevitable part of life that one has to learn to cope with willy-nilly.
For the elderly ones, it is important to adopt a positive attitude toward life. Companionship, of
the course is also vital for the elderly. No human being is an island. Above all, peace of mind, which everyone seeks
but few are fortunate to find, it absolutely necessary.
Our organization works for the cause and care of disadvantaged older persons to improve their quality of life. We envision a society where the elderly have the right to an active, healthy and dignified life. Currently, under our “OLD AGE CARE ADOPTION” campaign, we are maintaining many deprived aged persons.
Among them some are handicapped and others are homeless with no aid from their near and dear ones. We provide for their monthly grocery, medicines, medical treatments, and other basic and emergency requirements.
Presently due to a paucity of funds, we are unable to arrange for their rehabilitation and provide them shelter. We aim to build an OLD AGE CARE CENTRE that shall provide the roof to many destitute, deprived aged souls who needs proper care, love, and aid in their last days. The proposed location of the Old Age Care Centre shall be at Champahati, South 24 Parganas, West Bengal and its proposed name is “ANANDA ASHRAM Let’s try to make their lives as fulfilling and meaningful as possible.
